Always smiling, just do not let his good humor deceive you. He is a mental giant, a genius among mortals.

Many years ago, an invitation was accepted by this writer to attend a lecture about ‘Reaganomics” at his home near San Diego. Warmly greeted as if he was a member of the family, he quickly figured out that he was a mental mouse compared to the members of his intellectually talented and well-admired family.

Laffer is best known for the ‘Laffer Curve’, an illustration of a concept that there exists some tax rate between 0% and 100% that will result in maximum tax revenue for government.
